I joined the Inaugural Inroads to Tech Cohort in Dec 2023. It was advertised as helpful for breaking into tech primarily for BDRs and SDRs (which is not my field) but I thought "I may get a few nuggets of wisdom and learn something, so why not?" I wasn't really sure what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised!

Although it's targeted for breaking into tech roles I think this Cohort can be beneficial to anyone in their career search regardless if it's with tech or not. I really enjoyed the group sessions and building community. Carly is a super engaging host and the 3hr sessions went by quickly. We were gently forced to break out of our shells and comfort zones by doing mock interviews in a safe setting with great feedback. We had amazing guests with valuable insights to share about their career paths and grow our network.


InRoads also secured us opportunities for Consulternship in our areas of interest and expertise. to grow our resumes and experience.  Carly is a very giving person, smart, confident and great at instilling that confidence in others. She has great insight on building careers and revealing people's strengths. I am grateful to have met her and been part of her inaugural cohort. 

This cohort has been nothing short of amazing from the beginning until now with great additional resources.

Teaching us all the tools that she has used along the way in her tech career has been a game changer and an eye opener for me. As someone who has not considered working in the tech world this program has allowed me to see how my soft, hard, and interpersonal skills actually are the perfect match for tech.

I just wrapped up my 3rd interview this afternoon and have been confirmed for my 4th round interview for next week for a role in tech. And I found this role thanks to Carly sending out job posts that she comes across online.

This program has shown me it is okay to start over with the right people in your corner and Carly is that person to get you to and on your designated path, to start a new routine that works with the person I am now. She will encourage you and pull things out of yourself that you know you have but might be too afraid or shy to speak on. Like she says "nobody can do you like you do you," or something along those lines lol.

She drops a lot, and I mean a lot of powerful gems,  so pay close attention and take notes and she will keep you on your toes with all the wonderful guest speakers she will bring onto the group calls. 

The time, effort, and commitment Carly provides to every single person is not heard of in today’s time when it comes to job seeking, and she gives you all that and more. Carly is a great person to have on your side and this program will be nothing short of amazing.

Who would’ve thought going to an event would have led me to Carly, because I sure didn’t . She is a gem. Even if things do not go as planned career wise you will always have the tools she has provided you to keep succeeding. All in all sign up for her program you will not regret it.

When I first heard about InRoads to Tech, I had no idea what it was. I was intrigued by Carly's post and reached out for more information. I had no idea the wealth of information I would learn joining this cohort. I've been an RN for 16 years and have only worked in healthcare since I was a teen.

I never thought someone like me, with a background in Community relations & the healthcare field, could break into the exciting world of tech. But then I discovered the INROADS to Tech program, and it completely changed my career trajectory or the idea of it.

The best part? I caught the program during beta testing so it was affordable! This made it accessible to me, even though I wasn't sure if a career switch was financially feasible. INROADS to Tech provided the resources and support I needed to think about taking the leap with confidence.
